This show aired about once in America on ETV (which if one doesnt have BBC-America, seems to be where we get all the British shows, save for the new Doctor Who, which airs on Sci Fi) and of course I didn't have a clue what it was about (I think I have posts ranting about this somehwere on this very board, if not elsewhere online).

I've since seen episodes of both Hi De Hi and On The Buses and would love to see this again to see how the 3 from Hi De Hi work with Stephen Lewis of Buses.

What was the connection between the characters on ODB?

Was Lewis the heavy again?

The Hi De Hi trio on that show were pretty connected. Were they adversaries or something on ODB?

I recall some of Su Pollard on ODB and she just seemed to be as scatter-brained as Peggy on Hi De Hi, tho I don't recall a goal for her character her like Peggy was, wanting a yellow coat.

I would really love to see this one again.

Ethel's main goal was always to find a man - it seems to have been her lifelong ambition, and a brief marriage with an American serviceman during WW2 (who then either went MIA or was KIA) seems to have only reinforced that desire, and also produced Wilfred - as I recall she had a 'thing' with Percy the guard, who in turn had eyes for anything with an XX chromosome, particularly Amy, the frequent and pretty young passenger who Ethel consequently despised - one of my most oft remembered scenes involved Ethel politely and cheerily selling Amy a ticket and smiling before muttering 'Bitch!' and slamming the ticket hatch down.
