Funniest Canadian comedy ever made

I know, I know, that sounds pretty tame, like saying someone is the best hockey player from Mexico, or the best water skier from Antarctica, but this show really is worth viewing.

Very very funny.

Agreed.

Is it on anymore? If so, where/when?

check your local PBS station. I know the newer episodes are on here in Philly

Will do. Thanks!

Actually with the extremely high number of incredibly funny canadians, that is not a lame statement at all. I actually say that this is the best written show ever. It easily ranks up there with Seinfeld and the Simpsons (pre 2000).

By the way, does anyone know the name of the actress who played the Ski Bunny in the Walking Shoe incident? She was in more than one episode, but IMDB doesn't seem to list it. It may, but I dont know the character's name and some of the actresses have no pictures.

'The Newsroom' definately belongs up there with Seinfeld, Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Office(british version), and the Simpsons. Too bad it isn't as popular(accessable) as those shows.

burnlaugh, I think the blonde ski bunny's name is Lisa Ryder. I could be wrong, though. I got it from this episode list:
http://www.tv.com/the-newsroom/show/4082/episode_listings.html&season=0

According to that list, there are 30 episodes counting the movie. I have 25 on DVD. So is he making another 12 or just the five? Any ideas where I can find those(2005) episodes. My PBS station doesn't air them anymore. :(

Thanks!

Kytem, I disagree with you only on two points: 1) the funniest show out of Canada (or anywhere else, for that matter) is SCTV, by far, and 2) the hockey player from Mexico and Antarctican skier comparisons are not valid; only a person with extreme cultural myopia (i.e., the average American) would make such a statement. In fact, for its population size, Canada holds its own culture-wise with any country, the US included. The Newsroom is one hell of a funny show, though. We seem to agree on that basic idea.

Forget "funniest Canadian comedy"...funniest comedy ever made, period.
