Jim Henson?

I read somewhere that this was being made into a film by the Muppeters at Jim Henson. Is this true or not? (If not, does anyone have any information about a film?)

Nope. That's MirrorMask, which has been released in some theaters already. It's based on "Smoke and Mirrors", which was a collection of short stories.

Actually Neil Gaiman said on the commentary of disc 2 episode 6 that he hoped Jim Henson productions would do a film version of Neverwhere. Since Jim Henson productions did Mirror Mask maybe.....

I know this is a few months too late, but I'd thought I'd post this little bit of info anyway.

Last year I attended the San Diego Comic convention, where I watched a panel about the history of Jim Henson. Lisa Henson was there, along with many other Henson people. They showed a clip of Mirrormask and then proceded to tell us a bit about their future projects. She mentioned (very briefly mind you) that they would be working more with Neil Gaiman and Dave McKean in the future, on a feature version of Neverwhere, and also a new version of The Storyteller.

As you can imagine, the audience got quite excited at this point. But she didn't elaborate much furthur than that.

MirrorMask is its own story, not based on "Smoke and Mirrors" OR "Angels and Visitations."

Yeah, I remember reading that in the back of "Stardust". I was wondering that myself. If they're going to do that in the future, I'll be so excited! I've been a lifetime fan of the Henson company's work, I love Neil Gaiman's novels but Neverwhere is my favorite, and "MirrorMask" was amazing!
