thoughts about neverwhere

some general thoughts on the neverwhere series: i enjoyed stardust and coraline ok, but it's my opinion that neverwhere is the only film made from his stuff (so far) that comes anywhere near the greatness of "SANDMAN".

another thought, unrelated to the 1st: the phenomenon in neverwhere of the people of the upper world never noticing or remembering their encounters with the underworld people rang a strong resonance with me. i really feel that we sort of do this or something much like it in the real world. we are exposed to vast amounts of stimuli every day, but we remember next to none of it. can you remember any detail of your drive to work this morning? only if something unusual happened, probably. that detail of the show was deep, for me.

did that part of the series ring a bell for anyone else?
