Hm, wait how could hunter (Possible spoiler)

Did anyone else than me found odd that Hunter could go to second floating market taking place on the Belfast?
I mean she had some kind of curse of her that prevented her from going above London, but there she was, on floating market taking place on above London.
(Yep, I've read the book, which was alot better than the series (which I'm watching as right now), but I'm getting OT)
Isn't that quite huge plot hole? I mean floating market won't alter curse I imagine.

Your opinions?

BTW is it just me or Richard in series looks just like Billie Joe? (singer from Green Day)

It could've just been that she was feigning a "curse." Remember who was up in the Museum when she said she couldn't go and what turns out to be her driving goal?

reply

i believe hunter's curse is real, she's confined to london below - but the market is special, and they kind of brought a piece of london below the "world" to a location above london [not london above]. so she's still in london below.
does that make sense?

reply

Good point and makes sense! Cheers mate!

There isnt any curse on Hunter, she couldt go to London Above to the British Museum w/Door and Richard because Croup and Vandemar would be there, and as we learn later in the book/series,she was working for Croup and Vandemar to get her spear. As croup and Vandemar said to Varney "when we want her,we take her".
That also applied to Hunter of course.

I realize this is a somewhat trivial thing to revive such a long dead thread for, but, I just had to say THANK YOU! I've been racking my brain trying to figure out where the hell I've seen the guy that plays Richard before, and I simply could not place him... He DOES look like Billy Joe! lol

They seemed to suggest that parts of the rooftops were, despite the height, part of London Below. Perhaps some parts of the above ground London are still a part of London Below as well

and there is some indication that London Below is an entire world apart. Unless Hunter's talk of the Alligator of New York and the Bear of Berlin occurred before she acquired her curse, and an implication that there were ways to travel to at least some locations Below without having to go Above...whether or not they were above or below ground.

reply

This exactly. Just because it's called London "Below" doesn't mean that it's confined to underground locations. Below and Above are simply two different realities. There is some interaction between them, but not much. And so you can travel around the world in Below without being noticed by the people in Above.

I also vaguely remember a scene from the book where Croup and Vandemar hunt and kill someone, which, if i remember correctly, took place outside and not in London.
