its gone to pot. when lamarr went they tried the guest host thing, it was pretty bad but amstell stood out and got the gig permanently.
two great hosts, where the whole premise was to not take music seriously and knock down some celebrities off their perches. it was all about being a bit snipey, and it made it cultish, underground, different and very very funny.
recently though quiz shows are the norm for new comedians and are very popular. since amstell left were now stuck in guest host limbo. the hoff, terry wogan and stephen fry hosting NMTB? no no no.
now we have all auto-cued jokes, no real comedien hosting with freedom or balls and the formats dead. and the new bad graphics in the title sequence is embarrasing.
watching the hoff ham up his lines off the auto-cue to a joke he doesnt understand is painful. this show needs a host. it needs to be rescued. lets hope they find a new host in guest host line up or its curtains.

shareseeing as you cant get away from him these days ive actually warmed to him. when he doesnt act like a performing monkey he actually has humility, insecurities and the odd funny remark.
when hes not being the centre of attention i can cope. hasslehoff on the other hand is an actual monkey. one of the stupidist people on the planet. he needs to sodd off back to the usa (or germany). why do all these second rate americans end up here - are we now the american entertainment industries limbo?
We'll take back the Hoff if you take back Victoria Beckham, David Beckham, Cat Deeley, Steve Jones, and Mel B.

Seriously though, you won't see any "First Rate Americans" because they are all working. In America. I agree Hasselhoff was AWFUL.

shareFrankie Boyle would make an excellent perm host though i think the beeb are afraid that he will just spark another 'national outrage' ala Russell Brand within about three episodes into the season which is a pity since he is the only guest host they have had who isn't afraid to insult just everyone........he would have certainly eaten that guy from Made In Chelsea within about five minutes as well as just about any chav rapper they have on the show.
