Huey Morgan (Fun Lovin' Criminals)...OK, what on earth was THAT about?!

I thought he was a cool guy before, but he seems to have serious anger issues! He certainly wasn't being very considerate to Rizzle Kicks, who were hosting for the first time, which must be pretty daunting. What he did was very self-centred.

He's been on the show before, so he knows what the lyrics part entails. What exactly was his problem?!

I know right i mean it was nothing like the preston situation where he was getting ripped on big time.
rizzle kicks were just presenting normally (though kind of badly) and for some reason he just had a fit for no reason.

I totally agree, chillindude.

There must be a lot of pressure to host a show like that. I think RK hosted much better than some guest hosts (although, obviously, not as good as others).

Phil looked pretty uncomfortable after Morgan's tantrum. ;)

His problem is that he is a little bitch.

I heard that the show shooting was taking forever and I think he just finally got fed up with it. That said, his little temper tantrum was incredibly childish and I hope they never invite him back. Which is sad as up until this point I genuinely liked the guy, and thought he did an excellent job when he hosted the show himself.

i just watched it on bbc 2 and was very uncomfortable after that happened, what the hell is that guys problem, i liked the way that the rizzle kicks sorta brushed it off though 'im gonna have to go to a&e after this'

he's definitely for real. he reacted badly at the sony radio awards a few years back and launched into a twitter rant against fern cotton and lauren lavern. the guy is a dick which is a shame because his radio show on bbc6 is cool as.

At the time he had a new album coming out. His portion of the proceeds were going to veterans charities. He'd been in some trouble when he was younger and was given the choice of going to prison or joining the Marines, he chose to join and and credits that time in his life with turning things around for him. As a result of that experience making sure veterans are taken care of is a cause that close to his heart.

He'd hoped that as he'd been on before (including once as the host). They might give the new album a little plug (it might be the BBC but if they can let Sean Hughes plug his book and not cut it out then I don't see the problem) rather than doing the same thing of going over the old material like the do every show he's on. That didn't happen and he was a little annoyed, but was willing to press on with the show. I was slightly shocked by the mug thing but it's just one of those moments that we all have where be act out but wouldn't have done ordinarily. Shows like NMTB might air for just under 30 mins but they take at least a couple of hours to shoot (retakes and so on) so if he's sitting there already pissed off the it's only going to get worse the longer it goes. It might have helped if there had been another host like Mark or Simon whom he'd at least met before. Sadly the lack of a regular host makes the vibe show hit and miss these days.

At least he didn't just walk off and leave them in the lurch , by the time he walked off all they had to do was the wrap up (which guests aren't involved in). It was a silly thing to do but not as big a drama as everyone is making out.

Great spirits have always found violent opposition from mediocrities. The latter cannot understand it when a man does not thoughtlessly submit to hereditary prejudices but honestly and courageously uses his intelligence.

I wonder why it is still called host, if the host is a guest and therefore cannot really host at all. I can see why that works with SNL, as the show just needs a guy moderating sketches and bits, but in the case of Buzzcocks, the host would have needed to connect the candidates to the show. That guest-host marathon killed the show in the end.
