Episode Jackpot part 2 Song Help

During the last part of episode Jackpot part 2 after Evan was shot there was a sad song playing. Can anyone tell the name of the song and who sang it?
Thanks.

reply

do you know what any of the words are?

reply

the main ones I remember are, (I think); "i finally see the light,"

reply

I just watched that one but can not think of the song.
any more info on it?

reply

The song starts when Nash is telling Cassidy about Evan being dead, and continues while you see Harvey packing up Evan's stuff and the funereal.

It is a very sad song. Male singer.

It's coming on again tomorrow on WGN at 9 am CST if anyone is interested...

Sorry, I can't help with the song...

reply

Im starting to think this is a show only song.I watched it this morning and took down some lyrics, and have been searching to no avail

reply

The words I wrote down are;

"My color drains as your tail lights fade and I am numb struck where my heart used to be.

Should have known better,nobody's fault"

reply

I saw it and recorded it. I plan to replay and listen closely to see if I can figure the words.

One phrase I heard to day was "should have known better"

Unfortunately doing the song Close Captioning did not work!

reply

That really stinks! I rely on close captioning when I don't want to miss the smallest detail of what was said. Wish it had worked for you.

reply

With out going through my trash can I can say these are part of the words I wrote down in no order:
"my color grey...i should have known, nobodys fault but my own..

...i finally see the light but the picture...

..brought to my soul out of control..."

Like I said, this must have been composed just for this show, but I too would like to find this song

According to a couple of DJ fan sites, the song is performed by Stephen Stills, with DJ playing the acoustic guitar and singing harmony... I can't find a title of it, though... nor can I find it on mp3 form anywhere....

It was an original song written for the episode. I remember reading about it on nashbridges.com when that site was still being updated and used. For the life of me I can't remember who sang it or wrote it, but I think Don had co-written it.

Listening to it a couple of times...could very well be Don Johnson singing backup vocals. If you want to listen to it some go to:

And just found this info on YouTube...
"I finally see the light" by Stephen Stills and Don Johnson
