Finally - Cassidy in the Cuda

A while back I read here on the board a comment about Cassidy never being in the Cuda. In the Firestorm (4.9) episode she was in it as she, Nash and Nick were off to his surprise b-day party at Miller's

Also, Nash is #1 Rule, as I recall, was "No food in the Cuda", yet in one of the first three episodes of the series, one of them has food in the Cuda (it was Joe or Harvey as I recall).

I'm slowly but surely watching some episodes, I don't know how many, starting in season two, so I thought I'd chronicle who rode in the cuda, aside from criminals:

"Wrecking Crew"
Evan in the back seat.

_____
The New Number 2: "Are you going to run?"
Number 6: "Like blazes. First chance I get."

reply

"Hit Parade"
Angel's first appearance. He rides in the back. The driver's side mirror is blown off by an assassin and the front of the cuda is hit from a motorcycle. Though arrested, I'm counting Angel anyway since he's a good guy and it was his first appearance.

Number 6: "Like blazes. First chance I get."

"Road Work"

Nash and Joe transport a protected witness. The witness not only sits in the back the whole time, but Nash allows her and Joe to buy a whole paper bag full of food to eat along the way, thus breaking his rule about no food in the cuda.

The cuda also gets shot up a lot, including the radiator, and Nash ends up having to shoot the back windshield out to fire at pursuing bad guys.

This also marks a rare occurance of the hood of the cuda down for a bit. There was another such occurance in season two earlier, but I forgot to note it here.

Nash also makes a could references that he was going to let Cassidy use the cuda for a school dance, but circumstances wouldn't allow it.

"Payback"
Even though Nash is transporting a man from prison he got furloughed, I thought I'd mention it because when Joe gets out, the prisoner hops into the front uninvited and Nash says nothing.

An out-of-town cop, Iris, rides in the passenger seat and back seat. Joe also rides in the backseat, as Nash banishes him there.

I add them as I watch the episodes. Be patient.

"Swingers"
Caitlin may have rode in the cuda, but it's not seen and she may have taken her ownh car and followd Nash. She is, however, seen later riding in hte passenger seat.

"Warplay"
No examples.

"Firestorm"
Nick rides in the passenger seat and Cassidy rides in the back (going out with Nash for his birthday).

"Hardball"
An illegal alien rides in the back seat.

"Mystery Dance"
One of hte rare instances where Nash rides alone.

"Shoot the Moon"
This may be a first: NO cuda seen in the episode, though it was obviously used prior to being seen since Joe and Nash are at a shooting range. Nash is shot in the butt, so he ends up staying home off his feet at thye doctor's request.

Joe does get to ride with Bettina, who is an insane driver.

Cassidy apparently has her own vehicle, a white beetle.

"Kill Switch"
Even though it's not cuda related, I thought I'd mention it. Even though Cassidy isn't exactly rolling in the money and her first vehicle on screen that I recall was an old beat-up lovebug, here she is seen again with what appears to be her third if not fourth vehicle. Where does she get all this money?

"Rip Off"
Boz rides in the passenger seat (two or three times). Also worth a note: the hood of Nash's cuda is not only sprayed painted (tagged), but it also goes missing.

Season two finale:

"Deliverance"
I was mistaken -- this is the first time Joe drives the cuda. His wife is going into labor, so Nash tosses him the keys, while Nash takes care of some arrested bad guys. Then we find out why Nash doesn't trust him with the cuda: Joe speeds, drives erratically, and when he does get to the hospital, he runs onto and knocks over what I think was a trash can (which may not have even been parking space).
