Millenium Novelizations !

These books are according to Wikipedia all of the " Millenium " ( 1996 - 1999 ) novelizations that have been done.

The Frenchman, by Elizabeth Hand (1.00 "Pilot")

Gehenna, by Lewis Gannett (1.01 "Gehenna")

Force Majeure, by Lewis Gannett (1.12 "Force Majeure")

Weeds, by Victor Koman (1.10 "Weeds")

The Wild And the Innocent, by Elizabeth Massie (1.09 "The Wild And the Innocent")

The stated order in which the episodes they are described as being based on are different than the order in which they are mentioned on Wikipedia. That leads me to ask two questions. Is this the order in which the books were actually published ? If not what order should a hardcore " Millenium " ( 1996 - 1999 ) fan read them ? Thanks in advance for whatever information/insight/facts you have to provide with regard to these questions.

I'm not sure where the information on Wikipedia came from, but unfortunately only two Millennium novelizations were ever made, The Frenchman and Gehenna. I've been able to find a couple copies for each of these at used book stores over the last few years, but I wish there were more to collect. Apparently they didn't prove as popular, selling wise, as the X Files books. I've also read where there were plans for a Millennium Companion book that never materialized. This would have featured in-depth episode guides, interviews and other info for at least the first season or two. I really hate that such a great show like this didn't have more merchandising tie-ins.

Thanks for that information. It really is useful.

I found Gehenna in a used book store. I am now looking for the other book. In the same bookshop one I also found a Millennium Companion book written by N.E Genge, the same author who did 3 Unofficial X-Files companion books. I didn't even know there were Millennium books until I found them. I am a huge Chris Carter fan and am now on Disk 2 of Millennium Season 2.

There is also a Millennium companion volume 2 available. Just bought one off ebay.

Related;

The X Files had a few OUTSTANDING novels (not novelizations, which might be good but I didn't other reading)!!!

I loved:

Goblins
Whirlwind
Ground Zero

They were superb, completely faithful to what the show held best (aka seasons one to four, mostly). Can't recommend them enough.

IF Millennium had had a similar treatment with amazing novels I would have loved it!!!

Shame that it never manifested.

Wow, I remember seeing those at a local Barnes & Nobel and Christmas Tree Shops, only to realize that was 20 years ago.
