Unofficial dvds...are they any good???

I've seen the series advertised on 2 "unofficial sites" -

- TvDVDNet
- EpicDVDShop.com

Has anyone purchased from either of these before? I'm considering it, but only because I found both sources on the Ebay/Amazon websites (still doesn't make them official though...and I'm worried about being ripped off). Anyone???

I purchased it at showtime-classics.com. The recording quality was excelent. They advertise it as 8 out of 10 and I would say that is pretty accurate. It comes with close captioning and is seperated into chapters so you can go through each episode by chapter rather than simply fast forwarding through the episode like you sometimes have to do. Overall pretty good.
The 1 thing I did not like was the packaging. The DVDs do not come in seperate sleeves. They are all together in the box. They are securely held in there so they do not move around. The way they have it you have to physically remove each dvd to get to the ones underneath them with the dvds being piled 1 on top of the other in 1 big pile. So in order to have to continue repeated removing of the DVDs just to get to the next 1 I am going to put them in a seperate CD holder rather than keep them in the box they came in or else they would likely become damaged from all the handling.
So overall the Dvd quality as they advertise 8 out of 10 as they advertise. Excellent picture and sound. Much better than some unofficial DVDs I have seen which sometimes I have been cheated on.
Really low rating for the packaging though. If you buy them you may want to do as I did and put the DVDs in a seperate CD holder To avoid them being damaged
