shareI just got the complete series (151 episodes!) from Ebay a few days ago and I'm very happy with it. I try to avoid buying anime that is released here in the states, mainly because it's stupidly over-priced when it gets released here. If you're not against doing a little research, I would suggest looking on Ebay for ALL your anime. To put things in perspective, I'm guessing that Child's Toy is going to cost somewhere around 25 bucks a disc (what most anime cost's here in Madison, WI, anyways), of which there are 10 discs in the series, meaning it'll cost 250 dollars for the set.
I paid $85 for it on Ebay, including shipping...
The only issue I've noticed so far (I still haven't watched the whole thing yet...there's like 50 hours of episodes to watch) is that the subtitles have a little "engrish" in them, but nothing so bad you don't know what they're trying to say. And besides, watching anime subbed is MUCH better than watching the dubbed versions. At least, in my opinion, I hate dubbing with a passion. Also, you don't have to wait 10 years for it to finally get released here...

Just so ya know...there are only 102 episodes of the series, not 151. Plus the OAV, but that is a seperate entity. Hope you didn't get ripped off!

Um this series will NEVER be on American TV without heavy editing. It might end up on Adult Swim. There are too many mature themes throughout the series.
Buying your DVD's on Ebay is buying bootleg. Which means the company that made it, the people who made it, the actress' don't get any of the money. It is a negative thing in the Anime world. Which is why they don't sell them at Cons....
If you stop buying Amercian DVD's then they will stop making them. Please don't advocate bootlegs.

If they didn't wait 5 years or more before a series finally gets to the US people wouldn't have to buy bootlegs. That, and the fact that they mark them up ridiculously, even compared to the Japanese price. And the really good shows never get released here. Just tons and tons of sailor moon, DBZ, and those god-awful fighting mech shows, cause you know there can never be too much fighting robot crap out there.
When it's avaliable to me to buy in a store for less than $25 a disc than I'll stop buying bootlegs. Until then?????
This is my favorite favorite anime/tv show ever. i hope they dont edit/dub it or change it at all, its so amazing the way it is. if they do...i dunno, itll suck

Is there not English voiceovers? Because I recently watched a preview for the video and Sana was singing what i guess is the theme song, and it was in English. I have no doubt that it would be better in Japanese though.

The first time I saw this TV series was in Italy when I was 9 years old, it was one of the most popular TV series, everyone my age saw it boy or girl. It’s a shame Americans never saw it especially as a child I found it more special and mysterious although I don't remember being anything mature (maybe because I was too young). But I love the whole plot and I stopped watching it when I moved here I think I ended up when sana and her boyfriend are kind of against the whole school and her friend who was going out with sana's boyfriend is protecting her and so is all of their friends I’m not sure it was too long ago but I do know they are in high school think second year anyway I just wanted to know if there is still a lot that I haven’t seen. Thanks for any response.
