Difference between 2 disc and 3 disc ?

I have the entire series on VHS and am now in search of the DVD versions to replace them.

The problem is (aside from it being over priced due to scarcity) that I seem to be finding it listed as two different versions a 2 disc and a 3 disc.

I am not finding any listed differences between the two which leads me to wonder is this a typo and there is only one DVD version? Or is one of them a special edition with extra features on the 3rd disc?

If I'm going to bother spending $40+ to get this I'd like to know what I'm getting ahead of time and no one seems to be explaining it clearly.

The DVD set is 2 disks, the VHS tape set is 3.
If you can find it for around $40 I say jump at it, as it's currently fetching around $100 on Amazon.

I got mine for $1.95, because the kid at the store didn't know how to count change.

Not sure if you are still looking for this. There are various auctions available on Ebay at present.

This is a bit late, I know, but for reference to other visitors to this board there are indeed two different releases of this on DVD. Both are 2-disc sets but vary slightly in content regarding the first episode (as described in IMDB's "Alternate Versions" section).

One has the 017153103786 UPC while the other has the 017153121551 UPC, otherwise the artwork is pretty much identical but the latter one comes in a thicker case. A lot of sellers online (eBay, Amazon Marketplace) usually list the second one under both the 1st and 2nd UPC so if you are looking to find the first one you will have to ask questions to find out exactly which it is. Also, there are a lot of non-US (mainly Australian), region-free DVDs of this series being listed by sellers under the UPCs of the US editions so, again, ask questions before purchasing.
