A lawyer that way if you won a case and you didn't like the person you just got off. Or thought them guilty in your own mind you could just go ahead and kill them.. Or anything else that would bring justice to the world and keep my belly full..Lol!!
shareJust because you're a vampire does not mean that you can just wantonly kill whoever you choose. The mortal authorities still exist, and you still live in the mortal world. In fact, killing just because you want to kill all the time willy-nilly style will be very likely to draw the attention of vampire hunters, as well as mundane mortal police.

As long as a vampire is discrete and good at covering up evidence, they could easily be a version of the Dexter character.

Well, in this lore (Kindred: The Embraced is based on Vampire: The Masquerade)
humans don't remember what happened after a vampire drank their blood,
unique risk is another human might see what you're doing, that wouldn't be good.
The quality of blood is very important, thus drinking straight from a human
it's better (in their own words, it's sweeter) than refrigerated human blood
and blood from healthy persons it's desired, you won't want to drink blood
from those patiences at the hospital.
The Kindred from Clan Ventrue can only drink blood from specific humans,
they have rarefied tastes, drinking blood from animals don't have any effect
in them and they simply vomit it, they can drink blood from any other vampire
with no problems, no matter if they are from lower generations.
Its refined palate is their weakness.
In the end, it would be better if you get a Ghoul (a human that drinks
vampire blood, they don't age and live as long as they drink vampire blood)
and it serves you and spends its time at a Hospital, while it provides you
with that blood, that it's helpful, but not the best you can find,
in that way, you can do more interesting things with your unlife.
If I was a vamp? Hmmm...probably a bouncer in some *beep* ass bar in Vegas.....:)

shareMaybe a therapist, having lived as long as I have, I would have a unique point of view and would have a way to give back to society after taking away from it. Therapy can also be given over the phone and unless they weren't in control of their own beast, they would be giving useful advice. If you had lived say, 400 years, and saw mortals dying left and right living pitiful existences, wouldn't you think it would be good advice to tell them to do what you can while you can and not to sweat the small stuff?

I have seen some good ideas but most of you are missing the idea of hiding the fact that yuo are a vampire in a human world. Personally I would want to be a writer.
YEARS of experience, no need to be in the public, easy way to change your persona when needed, very lucrative, and most important it is nice and safe.
Most of the professions that people mention are far to easy to accidently giv away what you are.

shareI always liked the Tzimisce. They can change their appearance to look like anyone, or in some cases anything. They can change others appearance too. Course they do tend to be the monsters mortals believe vampires to be. They tend to do what they want, when they want, and with whom they want with no reguard for the consequences. Tend to have no morals or conscience. But think of it, you can be anyone you want. Johnny Depp, Justin Timberlake, Angelina Jolie, Christina Aguilera? Take over the real persons life, or just be a celebrity impersonator. Or you can just be a monster.
Although when I rolled them up, they tended to have a conscience, although their morals were a little off center. They did observe the masquerade, when in a town that enforced it. But they always had their own agenda, though.
The Giovanni were always my second favorite clan. All in the family.

shareProfession almost dictates your clan. I would prefer to be a Gangrel Assassin. Not the usual Assamite Assassin. Being Gangrel would give some excellent options on entering a country undetected and Animalism would give me an untraceable army of killers to use. No violation of the Masquerade. All Malkavians are Targets.
