Did Kenan and Kel live in the ghetto or suburban neighbourhood?

And yes I know they lived in Chicago area. It always was a mystery of their where about

I don't know about Kel but that was a pretty nice house Kenan lived in. His Dad was an Air Traffic Controller so he liked made good money.

We never got to see Kel's house, but it was revealed that his parents were a rocket scientist and brain surgeon.
Thus, it is pretty safe to assume that he lived in a nice house too.

Kenan had a pretty nice house and his dad was an air traffic controller which pays pretty well, plus both his parents seemed educated. so I’m going to say that the chances that they lived in the ghetto were minimal.
