Opinions on Oskar?

I think he is a lazy, good for nothing bum who leeches off of others, I don't know what Susie saw in him.

reply

He totally is. But he has his moments like learning to read and refusing money from Susie

Yeah... Oscar would often start out in an episode as a seemingly hopeless case, only to redeem himself somehow later on. And I found the episode about him learning how to read to be very touching.

reply

He's funny at times, but I genuently didn't like his character.

I couldn't imagine what would happen if he and Susie had children??

reply

He would be hopeless most of the time, but still have his occasional good moments. Just like he does with life in general.

reply

When I was a kid, I remember finding the episodes about him to be funny.

As an adult, I now realize that he resembles a lot of dead-beat husband/dads/parents that we unfortunately see in real life :(

What's even sadder is the wife not having the stength to realize she deserves better and getting the hell out of there. Kinda like that some women do in real life :(

reply

Well, Susie did throw him out in one episode.

reply

Well, in the episode where they watch tge baby, Oscar surprises and does pretty well

reply

As for Susie I think the reason why she sticks with Oskar is probably because he isn't physically or verbally abusive like her ex-husband or boyfriend was.

reply

He was funny sometimes, but I didn't care for him. He was a lowlife and hardly ever tried to improve, Susie literally this to him once.

reply

She just loved him I guess(Though she probably shouldn't have)

reply

She had a taste for Polish sausage.

I absolutely love the character he's so hysterical and there are moments where he has proven to be a decent fella, the baby episode comes to mind.
