Times you DIDN'T sympathize with Helga?

I really love Helga a lot and empathize with her due to her home life and relationship with Arnold. However there are a few times when I DIDN'T feel bad for her.

1) Girl Trouble:
Usually when Helga bully's Arnold (for obvious reasons) she always shows some remorse towards him (to his face) and makes amends with him afterwards (Summer Love for example). But in his episode, despite her "I love Arnold" scenes, she didn't apologize or show remorse to him on the phone like Arnold did. Plus if remember clearly, only Arnold got detention and she didn't.

2) Helga Vs Big Patty:
She had no right to make fun of Patty's size, b/c in reality, Patty was a pretty nice person, it was only when Helga teased her that Patty wanted to beat her up. I don't condone violence, b/c 2 wrongs don't make a right, however, she DID deserve the fear and tension she experienced in this.

3) Phoebe Breaks a leg:
Again.....as much as I liked Helga, why would she take advantage of her best friend as much as she did in this ep?? When Phoebe decided to take advantage of her, I felt that she needed a taste of her own medicine to see how it feels.

If I hadn't known that Helga had a dysfunctional family and some deep psychological issues, it would have been hard for me to sympathize with her at all. She is too much of a jerk and a bully for my taste.

I never really never had much sympathy for Helga tbh. Herr backstory is sad but shes a terrible person only good thing she did was in the Christmas ep

Really, I believe that Helga only had two options: becoming a tough-looking bully or just suffering in silence and try to not be noticed at all. Oh sure, you and I can think that she should have picked the second option. That is not how some people work though. And I guess that Helga also took a lot after her father, who seemed to have a very similar brutish personality.

And as for her doing good things, Helga got a few moments even outside that Christmas episode (where I feel that she actually did more than what she had to do). For example, she discovered that her sister's fiancé was a cheater. And she told him to leave before he could marry Olga, or she would call his other girlfriend and tell her the truth.

You clearly haven't watched the show she is truly the most appealing character even more so than Arnold. Also, she's done plenty of good things such as helping Phoebe against the sixty graders or making her an effective hall monitor, in "Summer Love" she exposed that tramp for using Arnold so he wouldn't get hurt and in the jungle movie she arranged that video for Arnnokd so they can win the trip enabling him to see his parents. Yeah, you clearly haven't watched the show enough.

Arnold & Lila, and every episode after that featuring Helga being jealous of Lila because it was her own fault people even considered Arnold & Lila a thing in the first place, as well as Arnold liking Lila after spending time with her. Not to mention Helga should have more respect for Lila because Lila supports her love for Arnold.
