when did this show Jump The Shark?

For those who don't know what "jump the shark" means let me translate: When did this show begin to go downhill? I personally liked it up until they started to reveal that there were others who did the same thing Gary did in other cities all over the world. That ruined it for me. I liked the idea that Gary was the only one with this hassle, it made it unique. If this show ever comes to dvd (What's the hold up fellas?) I'll get it up to that point......

P.S. for those who feel the need to rant and release their rage on when their favorite show Jumped the shark go to

As a whole I LOVED EE but season 3 kind of hit a low. I did not like Kristy Swanson on there and also it seemed like her and Marissa were hard on Gary in that season. I think someone else explained exactly what happened. Lastnight I was thinking how it sank in season 3 but when they got rid of Swanson and the little kid it was better again. No, not as good as season 1 0r 2 but better than 3, IMO.

I can tell you I wasn't happy with 2 events off hand.

1. Chuck leaving
2. Garry gets the bar and stops living in the hotel.

I'm an atheist and proud of it .

For me, it didn't really jump the shark.. In season three, with Erica, it did have many episodes that I didn't like as much as the others, but then it went back up to good episodes in season 4.

No, that's not what jump the shark means. It means a tv show changes its direction, it's usually coincides with a drop in rating because they have to try something different in order to get the ratings back up.

In my opinion, the only bad change of direction it took was being cancelled.

reply

It never did. It was always great and it deserved at most one more season.

When Fisher Stevens left. So did I. He was integral to the plot IMO
