Knowing what's happening *tomorrow* vs. *today*...

Love the show, and don't want to be nit-picky, but...

The show goes on and on about "What if you knew, beyond a doubt, what was going to happen tomorow?"

If he gets tomorrow's newspaper today, then he doesn't know what is going to happen *tomorrow*. He knows what is going to happen *today* by getting *tomorrow*'s newspaper. I'm watching a Season 2 DVD set that was just released this month, and in the 10+ years since the show was released has no one noticed that enough to at least get the DVD sleeve right?

Funny...

Chuck says it at the beginning of every (or most) episodes in the 2nd season. I noticed that once too. They probably kept it that way so it would match the intro.

Dork!! ;)

Yeah that would have made a great show.

"Same Day Edition":He Knows What's Going to Happen TODAY!!!

"Today is the tomorrow you were worrying about yesterday!"

LOL wow I must have noticed that at some point, but I don't *remember* noticing it, and so it's making me LOL even more now ;DD But the one I remember most is the general line of, "What if you got tomorrow's paper, today?" which already implies you would kno what happens today, today.. lmao.

Oh wait wait, I remember now! That line is from season 2? Then the reason it was said is most likely because by that point, Gary was used to it.. and he knew, that everyday, he was *going to kno / find out* what would happen.. at least I think that's how I interpreted it.. cuz the paper would keep coming and he knew he'd always end up having to save various ppl, etc etc..

Altho maybe I'm just confusing myself.. ahaha. XD

NO... it's not nitpicky at all! That's always bothered me too, even as a kid.

Sorry, I'm fresh out of Special Treatment for today.

It's not nit-picky, but he does know what's going to happen tomorrow and today.

"Do you even remember what you came here to find?"

While I know what everyone is saying, I think the line is supposed to convey that he is going to know what will printed in the newspaper tomorrow to everyone else. It is still a badly worded line
