Favorite character?

Mine is Theresa.

reply

I don't know about favorite character (except I know for a fact that it wasn't danny's whiny wife), but I do know my favorite line:

"Now get outta here. I've got a thing" (used multiple times in the show)

reply

Used by multiple characters too. :)

Frank Collero x

I've only seen the 3 eps on DVD but I love the bit in Murtha's club when he's offered a pool cue.

Mickey -You take a 19 ounce?
Collero- I take that, I hit you with it.

reply

I love Mickey!

Best scene ever...

[Mickey is sweeping The Sweet Spot with a bug detector while Jimmy's consulting with Theresa]

Jimmy: Wait a sec... Mickey!
Mickey: [removing headphones] Yeah?
Jimmy: Find anything?
Mickey: Nope.
Jimmy: Not one bug in the entire place.
Mickey: Nope.
Jimmy: You read the manual?
Mickey: I didn't steal a manual.
Jimmy: Well then how do you know if you're doin' it right?
Mickey: I called up and asked.
Jimmy: [beat] You stole and then you called them up and asked them how to use it.
Mickey: Jimmy, it's Radio Shack™. They ain't gonna lie.

I love Mike Starr. He was also great on Ed.

I loved Mickey, but I totally fell in love with Jimmy Murtha. I'd seen Pantoliano before but never really noticed him until he played Murtha. Murtha rules!

reply

Sometimes I wish for a remake of the show, but all the actors, and Pantoliano in particular, totally owned their characters that I don't think that they could ever be replaced.

reply

I'd be satisfied with just a DVD with ALL the episodes, instead of the "Brilliant But Cancelled" one that only had three episodes: The Pilot, and Episodes 5 & 6.
Who the hell does that?!

reply

I know, right? Especially for a show that only has a handful of episodes.

Hell, they could've released the first 3 episodes.

reply

Right? So here it is, a zillion years later, and they're STILL screwing it up. Thank goodness for my VHS tapes.

TV Tropes has a category called "Screwed by the Network" (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/ScrewedByTheNetwork), which details that happening to many shows, but no show every got screwed more than EZ Streets, because at least most of those got a decent DVD release, their second and third episodes didn't air 5 months apart, etc.
