great novel ,acid trip of a movie. no discussion....

But, to add my issues. Novel took place off bermuda,topic about the labadore current. not off Washington state. Names are all messed up, novel was whip darling,on dalton. of course he is a single dad where in the novel was married....so of course they had to put some toasty romance, coast guard pilot was scott marcus in the novel, so they had throw in the woman coast guard pilot. anyway this film should have been done correctly and in the theaters as well. I made the same point with the New MEG Movie which was a great novel an feel the film will go straight to blu ray. be well jeff z

Sadly the Beast got a poor trade when it came to blu Ray. The picture quality was made darker and the touch up quality of blu Ray wasn't done either. I still feel the DVD is a far better and superior version though why on two discs does bother me. The fate of poor Doctor Talley should have been done as in the novel - he lived. Other than that I really love watching The Beast. Perhaps also a better description of places should have been noted and better detailed as in the novel.
