Why do the cyber-bees belong to Scorponok?

Seriously, he's a scorpion. Why does he have a cyber-bee? They have a perfectly good bee character that can be used to shoot out cyber-bees. I remember when I was a kid this always confusing me. I kept thinking Scorponok must have been borrowing these bees from Waspinator.

That's a question better asked of the toy designers.

Maybe so (and that question still stands) but the creators of the show took a lot of liberties with the toys. One would think they would not have been duty-bound to include the cyber-bee as a Scorponok thing.

Maybe they thought that they had altered him enough already. Many of the characters, as we all know, weren't all that well established at the beginning either, so I can also imagine that they simply stuck close to this gimmick of his toy without any second thoughts.

Besides, I hear his toy was kinda crap, and that this Cyber-Bee was the biggest selling point of the character.
