People from jumptheshark.com are complete idiots

This website got kind of big because of Howard Stern promoting it a few years ago but since then it still has the same lame layout, and stupid anal users. All they can say about the show Arli$$ is that the star was ugly---who cares what the guy looks like? Also they say that it's too hard to follow if you're not a sports nut but most of these nerds stay in their parent's basement all day long and know nothing about sports.

Arliss was a great show, great premise, amazing characters (KIRBY!!!), and many, many laughs.

Complete idiots...I agree 100%... and as for the opinion of others on that site, all I can say is "beauty is in the eye of the beholder", I suppose. BATMAN came out when I was fourteen years old and I fell absolutely head over heels for Robert Wuhl... I couldn't even begin to guess how many times I watched Batman back then :). As for Arli$$, I think it was a great show, too. I can see how folks who are not into sports wouldn't get it. I agree, living in the basment doesn't promote an outlook on things which most would see as typical :P .

Take jumptheshark with a grain of salt...I think a lot of people over there like to trash shows because it's the "cool" thing to do. People come up with some pretty moronic reasons to say that certain shows jumped.

"Have you lost your mind?! Cause I will help you find it!"

Very true... some people are just not happy if they don't have something to complain about...

Ya I gotta say that jumptheshark.com is crap. They say that The Simpsons hasn't declined. Come on!!

I admit I know NOTHING about sports.. But I loved Wuhl from his previous work. I tooked at Arli$$ as Larry Sanders meets Bob Sugar from Jerry Maguire. Arliss was never comparable to Maguire. In my mind he was always the antagonist Jay Mohr.

I don't think you had to know sports. Sadly Arliss was too similar and too soon after/during Sanders so people only saw how similar they were not just how fun each was, on their own, to watch.

now now..I don't know JACK all about sports.. But I STILL loved the show. I admit the last season felt a bit off, but c'mon. Wuhl was fun as hell to watch. But the whole, you have to know about sports is BULL#*#). That's like saying you have to know about talk shows to enjoy Larry Sanders (I don't, and I did). Wuhl was great, and a great supporting cast as well.. I've been following when I can Boatman ever since... and always pleased as hell to see Jim Turner turn up once in a while.

Don't lump all people together. I really don't get the HATE that Arli$$ seems to inspire in people. I mean I think maybe it coming after Jerry Maguire may have hurt the show.. but it in a lot of ways actually felt more realistic than that film. Especially more so now with the diva like show biz demands, you can only guess how much of the stories came from something of a real place.
