Arliss DVDs

I know that all 7 seasons were released onto dvds at some point within the last 8-10 years as warez groups had ripped them as xvid for each episode. You can find these listed on torrents sites for example. But you cannot buy these dvds anywhere or see any retail info. Can only find mention of the 2dvd set of best of. HBO or perhaps ESPN Classic must have obscurely released the dvds back around 2003/04. Perhaps they sent out promotional dvds or something similar, rather than retail releases. You can find subtle references to all arliss seasons being released on dvds from various places. Even SNL had a monologue which mentioned it briefly 10 years ago. To those who think that only the 'Best of' 2dvd set was released for Arliss, and not all seasons, are wrong. Someone on imdb must have some knowledge about this, and why HBO has been silent about Arliss all these years while treating the series like *beep*

why does hbo pretend like arliss never existed? are they truly embarrassed for it? that's what they are making us to believe with this consolatory best of 2 DVD set, which has around 13 episodes between the 2 dvds. So with 7 seasons you are missing 90% all episodes. Quite a disgrace. It's not even mentioned hardly on hbo.com website about arliss in general. every other hbo series, even from the 90s, has been released to dvds for all its respective seasons. In rare cases, it will be available online at hbogo.com or Netflix.com to stream even with or without the actuality of dvds released. so I, much like tens of thousands of others, rented the best of arliss 2 dvd set and saw all 13 or so episodes to 'graciously' gave us. Honestly, I hate this best of dvd set and like others want all 7 seasons released finally. there should be enough of a market, including streaming services, to ensure any profit margin be reached. And to think, Arliss series ended around 2003 or so. So that makes it only 10 years old, many people still remember a faint memory of it or recall it being on espn classic for a couple years. Why do all those seasons and not have anything to show for them, makes no sense whatsoever. Even these obscure series on cartoon network's adult swim get distributed to dvds eventually. Yet a huge paytv network, best network on tv, can't enable itself to make any distribution for this cult series.

I am just so lucky.. Was going through an old DVD case and found the old divx files that I ripped when it ran on ESPN classic a few years ago. I think I got the entire series.. The only issue to me so far is a bit tinny on the audio, and of course that run was "edited for content".

If only HBO would come to it's senses and release the series on DVD.
