IN THE MOVIE!!!!

The "Core Extras" were valuable in keeping the film authentic looking. They were the guys who made sure extra touches were made in the set,props and costumes (uniforms)and that the non-reenactor extras behaved like soldiers.
Along with the troop coordinators (reenactors themselves) the Core group made this film much more realistic. Hollywood art directors, set directors and costumers could not possibly be have the expertise lent by the reenacting community. As a team, they worked together and made Andersonville one of the best Civil War films available.
