In the 1st episode, when they moved into a Dubchek's apartment, they don't have stairways behind, and they came through doors, which , later, are doors of Dick's bedroom. Anyone knows the reason?
P.S. I love this show, and I watched all seasons about four times, but I noticed that two days ago :)

I just guessed it was because it was pilot. Pilots usually have lots of differences to the rest of the series. They just hadnt figured out the set yet.

shareYeah that happens a lot on shows. On The Cosby Show, their house had a different layout and they had one less child in the pilot.

They also sometimes use stock sets or sets from old or cancelled shows in pilots. They likely recreated or changed the set for convenience when the show got picked up. It happens a lot. Their set stayed pretty similar though and at least their were no big cast changes.
