i just finished the series and was just curious how everybody liked the ending? did you guys think it was a good way to end it or should it have closed in some other way? i personally loved the whole series and felt the ending was quite touching.
shareI wasn't really happy with the ending. It was kind of sad to me. Whether Mary gets abducted or doesn't get abducted, it's still sad. I wish they could have chosen to stay on earth. The ending kind of reminded me of Phil of the Future where they time travel to another century and the show ends with them returning back despite all the people and memories they made.
shareI’ve always felt the ending was perfect. It gives a poignant closure to each of the characters, but doesn’t forget the laughs.
The first three seasons were drop-dead funny. Season four was still really good, but they were beginning to run low on new earth/human situations to drop the characters into each week. Season 5 maintained enough laughs to keep it going, but by season 6 the end was clearly in sight. The series ended at the right time.
