You know what...this is my favorite Xtro 'film'.

Don't get me wrong, I love the schizo feel of the first one, but this film feels perhaps the most balanced and the aliens generally carried some screen presence. On the DVD for the original the director says this is also his favorite, and I can agree just generally because it seems as though this one is the only one that's not a huge boring rip-off (yes Xtro 2) or a convoluted mess (Xtro). A decent sci-fi film for sure...I can't seem to find it anywhere on video though...just the sci-fi channel every 5 years at six o' clock in the morning. I wonder if Image ever plans on gaining the rights and releasing it on dvd?

Just thought I'd let you know that Xtro 3 is out on DVD, e.g., I rented it from Blockbuster online (June 2006).

Sorry so far i have replied to all mentions of Xtro 3 - its so cool that people have found this movie has reedeming features as it was for along time the yard stick that me and my friends compared all crap movies to. For example "God that Leprechaun 4 was *beep* but not as *beep* as Xtro 3!!!

The movies tagline was "Watch the skies" ha-ha genius!!!thats what i was doing for most of the movie.

Well i agree with you, WATCH THE SKIES is a decent film, very well written, the direction was very good, the make-up FX and the acting also and it has a good score...The only thing that didn't go that well was the CGI, the space ship sequence, and some of the alien creature's puppet FX, but in some point the creature looks real, and it is scary, and it really has a reason for killing.

I'm deciding whether 1 or 3 is the best. Xtro 3 has a decent little plot and not much flaw while Xtro 1 has a garbage, fun feel to it.
