Since this DVD is currently unavailable (discontinued), I hope that Criterion Collection will bring about a future release of it.

I just got it for 12$ off Amazon, so it is in fact available.

But it is only available from sellers on Amazon because apparently it is out of print. I had to buy it from an external seller and unfortunately it was the Hong Kong version they sold me without making that clear. I'm just saying that I hope the film becomes in print again, whether it is Criterion or another company.

I doubt if Criterion would ever buy the rights of this film. They're more biased towards European and Japanese movies when it comes to foreign releases. The Hong Kong version I got for $7.99 with removable English subtitles was pretty good in picture and audio quality. Heck, I wouldn't hold my breath for that Criterion release if I were you.
