Gratuitous sex scene

I hadn't seen this film in probably 10 years at least, and I re-watched it tonight. I remembered there being some really absurd softcore Cinemax-style sex scene in it, but I didn't really remember it being quite as gratuitous—you actually see David Nerman's balls flopping up and down when his girlfriend is on top of him during the act. He's an attractive guy so I'm not complaining, but I was kind of shocked that that was left in the final cut. Anyone else ever notice this?
