WARNING:DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVE NOT PLAYED THE GAME!:I just beat this game, and their are 3 possible endings:1. You get commited for treason and get executed:2. You become head of the Black Lances(if you side with Hawk):3.(if you side with Panther)Tolwyn gets sentenced for execution(because of the Black Lances and GE)but hangs himself before they can(in the book, he gets a life sentence).
shareI think when you become head of the Black Lance Forces it has something to do how many bad choices or answeres you make during the interactive decision making process.

Great game, also. To become head of the Black Lances you have to do what Hawk wants to do because he wants to blow up a ship. It does happen too, if you make too many wrong choices(Hint: At the begining, help the old vet out and also help the guy that's about to get beaten up).
shareTolwyn hangs himself either way, Blair doesn't become head of the black lance forces he becomes Tolwyn's replacement at confed HQ (which absorbes the pilots used by the black lance forces) which is why he tell Hawk to use those pilots for a mundaine mission.
Hawk win: Take the intrepid to attack Confed forces in Speradon; destroy the Ella superbase; select 'We die trying' when conversing with Hawk and Panther
Panther win: Assist Bowder World forces in Circe; slip past the Ella superbase; select 'There's always hope' when conversing with Hawk and Panther.
You don't become head of the black lance forces, you get promoted into Tolwyns job at Confed HQ. It actually make more sense for that to happen given Blair is still and officer in the next WC game.
