'Meet the Parents' Scene

I recall there's a scene where a black man brings back a white girlfriend to the shock/horror of his parents. I took this to be a reversal of when a white woman would bring back a black partner and the reaction thereof. However, if it's meant to be based on the reversal of what typically happened in history. Shouldn't it have been a black woman bringing back a white partner? Unless I'm mistaken, in much of the mid 20th century it was far more common for white women to be in a relationship with black men than for white men to be in a relationship with black women (perhaps partly due to the discrimination both faced). So you'd expect this to play out in the film surely.

If impersonating a Police Officer is an offence, shouldn't actors be imprisoned?
