Has anyone employed the 'salt/ketchup' trick?

The main thing I remember from this movie is the trick Louis shares with Thaddeus about putting salt on ketchup so that you know exactly how much salt you’re getting with every bite. Since seeing the movie, I’ve employed the trick many a time.

You don't like salt because it's white? Why do you want to limit and segregate your salt? That just leads to poor social and economic situations in the salt shaker.

My girlfriend enjoys putting pepper on her ketchup when eating fries.
