$40 for a Christmas tree and they don't deliver? I can get $10 worth of Lo Mein from Mr. Wongs, and they'll bring it right to my door! Should've gotten the Blue spruce. They're lighter.

That is my fave too!!! I also like the "leaning" Both Jack & Joe Jr.

E.: How did you know? How did you know I'd respond to you the way I have?
J.: I saw myself in you.

Elsie the grandmother comments on Peter's absent body part as the elevator doors are closing.

"Look at it this way. At least he'll have more room in his jockey shorts."

I like and can't recall exactly, the line at the end, about her new husband giving her the world, or something to that effect.

"I just... don't want to see you unhappy." - Jack Callaghan

I love this line because it shows a lot of Jack's feelings towards Lucy, and how hard he's trying not to show that he is in love. If he cared less for his brother he would've said: "I just want to see you happy."

It's got to be this one - because Jack is so flirtateous. Lucy is answering the knock on the door yelling at Joe Jr. saying she doesn't want any flowers, she isn't wearing black underwear and she did not want to move in with him. She opens up the door and is suprised to find Jack standing there. Jack smiles that wickedly handsome boyish smile and says:

"Well, I don't have any flowers, I wouldn't mind seeing the black underwear, but under the circumstances, I don't think we should move in together."

I don't know why that stands out to me but it does. He is so sweet and flirty and she is eating it up. Good movie with lots of good quotes.

"I thought you were Joe Jr."

"I get that a lot"

hilarious!

Oooh, I love Bill Pullman in this movie. His smirk when he says "I wouldn't mind seeing the black underwear" is so sexy! He's been so restrained thru the whole movie and it's the closest he comes to flirting with Lucy, like he just couldn't help it!

Jack is speaking to Peter about Lucy while he is still in coma and says something like "I was never envious of you, until now"

I love it when they are eating dinner and Midge says "These mashed potatoes are so creamy." My sister and I crap up at that every time. And of course every Christmas or Thanksgiving when the family is acting crazy we say to each other "These mashed potatoes are so creamy."

It's a really simple line exchange, lol, but when Jack is leaving Lucy's apartment after he gives her the snowglobe thing and she stops him and asks

"Can you give me any reason why I shouldn't marry your brother?"

and Jack replies "I...can't."

It shows how much respect Jack has for his brother even though HE is in love with Lucy, and when he leaves he kind of bangs the door open and you can tell he is kicking himself for not being able to speak his true feelings!

Sigh.. :)

"It's a Sicilian message. It means Luca Brasi sleeps with the fishes."

That was such a sad moment too... If not favorite, definitely most memorable line for me.

There are so many great ones . . .

I agree on the one where Lucy screams through the door when she thinks it's Joe, Jr. Bill Pullman's face is priceless.

I also like "He was very lucid when I talked to him." Jack is so serious in that scene, it cracks me up.
