I can't see where all the negativity against this film is coming from. I really don't. Maybe you don't like Sean Bean, but the fact is-he is one of the best British and Western actors of the last decade! And this film has a message: if you give in to the peer pressure and start to doubt in yourself, you lose. Aside from that, it's a study of the Northern, working class mentality and life.

I was very surprised to see so much negativity. I love this film, it's a British gem. Wonderfully acted, funny and touching, I thought it was superb. Sean Bean is as great as ever and so are the other actors. To call it "worst movie ever" is flat out wrong in my opinion.

I think it's a very good film. The negativity is coming from Wednesday and West Ham football fans. Nothing to do with the actual merits of the film.😒
