Possible sequel coming soon? Wiener-Dog (2015)

Does anybody have any information on Todd Solondz's latest movie? The only thing the IMDB page description says is that its about a dachshund and the only character listed in the cast is Dawn Wiener (played by Greta Gerwig)no posts on the message boards yet either...

The sequel has ben announced by Solondz himself a couple of months ago. Too bad Heather won't be reprising her role, but I'm excited about this anyway. Julie Delpy has been cast as well.

The thing is, Dawn Wieners is supposedly dead, as they show in the first scene of "Palindromes". But the actress who plays Dawn now, is the same age that Dawn should be nowadays, so I'm confused. Maybe this sequel will be ignoring the events in "Palindromes".

Hmmm... or maybe it will be a film about the events leading up to her suicide? Although, they said Dawn died obese, so unless the actress is going to wear a fat suit, I guess that won't be happening.

It will be interesting to see what goes on. Maybe Dawn is reincarnated as a Weiner-dog for real and the actress just plays Dawn's voice... lol. Maybe we see a life of Dawn as a dog who is loved finally and watches the antics of her crazy family through the POV of a dog.

Okay, maybe not... but I had to throw that out there due to the summary written for the film's page. Too funny.

But that's the thing: Palindromes (when Dawn supposedly dies) was filmed in 2004, so if they're making a film about Dawn's life before the events of "Palindromes", the actress should be about 22 (which is like 11 years younger than Greta Gerwig)

As for the whole Dawn reincernating as a dog... it would be unexpected, to say the least. I hope it's a more realistic film. Although I was disappointed with Solondz's last film (Dark Horses), I still have faith in him.

I just saw Todd speak at a screening of Welcome To The Dollhouse and he said that Weinerdog is NOT a sequel, exactly. He was intentionally vague, so who knows?
