I remember seeing this movie for the first time in 1995 when i was a kid. It's such a lovely movie, great cinematography, great vineyard setting, good storyline. It was so ethereal, was so enjoyable and memorable that i never forgot the movie even though i forgot its title.
I watched it many many times after the first time.
Why can't Hollywood make more wonderful films like this one, instead of crappy mind-numbing crap?
Just like you I saw this movie when I was young and it stayed in my mind as one of the best romance movies I've ever seen. Eventually I saw the movie on TV again and was finally able to put a title on the fabulous imagery. I saw it many times over the years (it seem to be a favourite of a local tv station) and again recently with my boyfriend. He was seeing it for the first time and refused to leave the couch until it was finished. :)
I don't deny that there's some ridiculous part but the good ones greatly out-weight the bad ones.

It was to me the best love story film that I have seen Keanu in, Lake house was great but his best was definately this one. I love the story, it was beautiful, had me fall in love with a guy like Paul Sutton.
