Was Wesley Snipes ever as sexy and appealing onscreen as he was during his brief role in this film as Bernadine's "brief encounter"?

Although I have nothing against Wesley and I'm sure his fans were happy to see him in the movie, I personally don't like the scene because it slowed down the movie a lot.

You know, I always tought Wesley was so ugly and everything but me and mom were talking one day and I mentioned that this movie was the only movie where Wesley looked good!!!!

I agree! The scene was horrible. The character was disgusting! Who uses his wife's illness in order to get pity sex?! Didn't Bernadine realize she was doing to someone husband what that other woman was doing to hers? As far as the 'she's the only woman I love' crap, I hate it when movies peddle this BS. I don't equate sex with love, but when you are in love you just don't do things like that. Just because you have had sex with your spouse in a year doesn't give you the right just go with someone else. First of all that seems like a lie, like a line(so much for smart women), but what if his wife does want to do it. He doesn't know Bernadine- what if she gave him a disease, and he passed it on to her. Kemo lowers the immune system, so she could die even quicker. Just the fact that he was willing to RISK that means he doesn't love her. You don't risk people you love.

LOL. But they didn't have sex. All they did was just lay in bed and actually slept together.

He was very appealing in this movie. I stopped liking him when he said that he doesn't like being with Black women because we "have too much mouth". He came out and said that he prefers Asian women. I have a serious problem with that.

Oh, and in the book the affair wasn't brief. He and Bernie kept in touch, his wife later passed away from the cancer, and he moved to the same city as Bernie and they actually formed a real relationship and stayed together.

I wish they hadn't kept that out of the movie.

I actually have no problem with him preferring Asian women. He's entitled to his preferance (and they can have him as far as I'm concerned). But he lost my respect when he started dogging black women. Add to the fact that I found out that he was the one who beat up on my girl Halle Berry. He's a loser.
Just my opinion.

I will agree with the person that said that Wesley has never been attractive to me... I saw him in a restaurant and he was short AND ashy to say the least... However, in this movie, he looked SHOCKINGLY very nice...

Does anyone know why his role was uncredited?
