Angela Bassett.......Amazing!
It is October 2015......and I am seeing this movie for the first time, lol! Totally, totally, totally blown away by Angela Bassett! What an amazing actor she is, love her!

That is why she is one of my favorite actress. She is so underrated, I love her acting in this movie as well.
shareI don't know if y'all read the book, but this was a HUGE sore spot for me. Savannah (Whitney) was supposed to be the central character and Bernie ( Angela) was just one of the other girlfriends. But Angie blew Whitney off the screen. I'm watching the big scene now where savannah tells Kenneth off and spills the drinks on him. That was supposed to be the big scene, but it fell way flat. However Bernie big scene, setting her husbands stuff on fire, was Oscar worthy. Either Angie should've played savannah or turn the script a little bit and have Bernie as the central character.
