Adults in this movie
The children age to about 10-12 years old, but the adults dont seem to visibly age at all over that time span. I thought that was kind of goofy. But I did like this movie overall.
shareThis is not a goof. In the original 1960 film (and probably in this remake as well, but I can't remember now), it is mentioned that the children grow unusually fast.

shareTo me, the boys(Except David) seemed older and the girls younger, and they were all born at the same time? And how come people appear to be sweating and they're wearing coats? How come the children weren't sweating and they were wearing coats?

i didnt like how mara looked older than david during the kitchen scene.
it doesnt make any sense to have some look older.
plus david could barely prop himself up during the block scene..
I am not sure if it was stated in the movie (or just implied) that maybe since David did NOT have a twin he was not as strong as the other kids. I think it was intentional to show that he was smaller then the other children to show that they were different. Plus he showed empathy unlike the other children.
