loved his character. pretty cool seeing him as a priest. he was perfect for the role.

Chris Reeve was really good too. I find he was quite bland in many of his non-Superman roles but this role was definitely worth his while.
There is a lot in this film about what makes us human, and the value of it, and both he and Hamil captured that beautifully.

Underatted movie.
I watched this film only yesterday for the first time. Been jaded by all the crap it has recieved in horrorfilm literature, critics and filmbuffs, so I didnt even bother to get it until NOW!!!. I was baffled that this film was so incredibly strong it almost brought me to tears.
*beep* Carpenter is really great and this film, along with The Thing 82, The Fly 86 and Invasion of the BodySnatchers 78 are all fantastic remakes of the old 50s sci fi thrillers!
