I want to see it for the cameo by ex-presidential candidate John Kerry as 'guy in the lifeboat'.

@alie3k- Late reply but.....I just watched Venus Rising and found it to be only somewhat interesting. Good concept for a film but it never really comes together in the delivery. A weak script is partly to blame but poor acting performances cause an equal share of the damage to this films overall mystique...or lack of. Its worth a view if you have a few hours to spare and have no problems keeping your expectations on the B movie level.
