Sid.

Anyone else find it odd that he had to encounter all of the toys coming to life. I mean he was only a kid.

reply

Shouldn't have mistreated the toys then. They have feelings, too.

reply

But he didn't know that. they keep it secret. why should he be blamed for something he didn't know?

reply

It's a film about toys coming to life and seeing that they have human characteristics. we just can't look that far into Sid all we can do is look at him as a villain.

reply

Well, it seems very unfair to me.

reply

Me too.

If you knew it was not wrong to murder someone, would you murder someone and then understand once you were jailed? If the majority of the people are not doing it, there is PROBABLY something you are doing wrong. There is a HIGH CHANCE too.

reply

Murder has nothing to do with it. toys are not people. they are inanimate objects, and there is absolutely nothing wrong as far as we know with altering them. On ebay you can buy altered toys. For instance, they make centaurs using the top half of a barbie doll and the bottom half of a Barbie horse. This does not hurt the dolls or the horses because they are not alive. that is reality as far as we know, there is nothing wrong in what Sid did. If the toys really had a secret life in whch they could move about, why did they allow themselves to be altered in the first place? why didn't they tell Sid they didn't like it?

reply

Because they were doing what dolls do. It had taken Woody to bring about that change.

Do you think good people and I meant "saint" people allow bad people to kill them? Probably. Why? Because they are innately good.

He was a little brat who bullied his sister and destroyed all her toys, played with matches and explosives, and jumped around on top of the arcade machines in public instead of just playing with them like a normal kid. He had it coming.

reply

I felt so bad for his sister.

🌸

reply

I've always wondered why in the world Sids mother allowed him to play with matches and explosives.

reply

Silly to respond to a poster from imdb 3 years ago who might not even be on here, but I'm pretty sure his mom didn't know that he was playing with fireworks. He probably wrote down false information when ordering it. Cause I'm pretty sure even back in the 90s you had to be 18 to order fireworks.

reply

I reply to old posts too, don't sweat it. We keep the threads alive!

reply

He did appear to come off as a bully! Not just to the toys but to other kids as well.

Look how badly he treated his lil sister and god knows how he treats Andy! (Although the movie doesn't portray any interactions Btwn them).
