Brilliant Film, Brilliant Soundtrack

This film rules, i cant believe im the first to say anything here.
If anyone knows, could you tell me where i can get the soundtrack.
Or, if anyone wants to talk about the film...

Theres no earthly way of knowing which direction we are going.

pretty sure its gonna be by Chu Ishikawa....
he did Tetsuo and Bullet Ballet scores so i dont know why he wouldnt do the one for this movie as well.
i really liked this movie as well as you, i think its probably one of the best movies about the male ego and boxing and just plain self destruction in general. it truly suceeds in almost every respect for what it is trying to show the viewer and some of the imagery is just plain fantastic.
it is a little bit cheesy or goofy at times but thats just the director, i dont think it takes anything away from the viewing, it adds a personality to the film, and subsequently to all of shinya tsukamoto's films, if you take every scene so seriously you just end up being pretentious and bland.
well anyways i've rambled on long enough, try searching for Chu Ishikawa on Soulseek or some other peer-to-peer program if you wanna find the soundtrack, i'll post back here if i spot anything! cheers man.

I found some albums on eMule, good stuff. Tokyo Fist and Bullet Ballet soundtracks appear to be the best. It seems Ishikawa also made the soundtrack for Fudoh by Miike. Have to check that out.

I think this film is just about perfect. I'd probably argue that Tetsuo is better visually, but Tsukamoto's long running themes of couples-in-turmoil is at its best representation here. I've never seen such an intensely psychological battle portrayed in fighting. Fight Club didn't even come close!

Theres no earthly way of knowing which direction we are going.

I loved this film - although I had been putting off watching it for a while, but Im glad I finally got to see it.

I cant believe how much Darren Arronofsky was 'inspired' by this film when making 'Pi'. It would appear almost everything is lifted from Tokyo Fist - including the 'heat-camera' moments...but, I dont mind Pi was awesome too...got to start somewhere!

Love the soundtrack too. Its kinda funny cos I have the soundtrack to Bullet Ballet but Ive not seen the film. Cant say that Im 'that' impressed by the soundtrack- but it really seems to be the kind of music that works best with Tsukamotos visuals - I bet it gets to a point where you cant listen to the music without seeing the film in your head!

I would also like to know whether this film did in someway cross the paths of the filmmakers of fight club or Chuck paulanik when he wrote the book - although Ive read that his inspiration what quite simply getting beaten up at some point in his life...

anyway...good film, good soundtrack and all I need now is more Tsukamoto nihilism to fill my brain!!!!
