Where is this new release?
The old one I saw had subtitles with spelling errors burned on the image. Has there been a better release?

Just watched the Blu-ray. Can confirm that the quality is outstanding.
Just a couple errors in the translation ("thing" instead of "think", a random "Chan" that obscures the translation during the scene where Hizuru is cutting the fish) and I think at some points the translation itself was a little, er... simple? Or maybe "concise" is a better word, but they were still very clean and understandable; much better than a few of the DVDs out there.
As far as I know the only R1 DVD is the out of print 1999 Manga DVD. It's very hard to find. After searching for years I finally found a copy earlier this year at a used book store.....and last night I got it signed by Shinya Tsukamoto.
