blu ray

The Tie That Binds is now on blu ray, but unfortunately it is released by Mill Creek. Ok video transfer, but sound is HORRIBLE...sounds like it's coming through a tin can or something. Widescreen, but no extras whatsoever...not even subtitles.

Overlooked movie deserves better, but at least it was only five bucks at Wal Mart.

That sound you're complaining about is done on purpose, I believe. It's called a Phase-Shifter. It's a cool effect when used in music (Pink Floyd used it a lot, so did Led Zep), but to use it on basic "sound effects"... It's just annoying. And it's used throughout the whole movie. The dialogue sounds fine... It's just the sound effects. And it's very sad that that particular "noise" is often heard right before something scary or intense happens... Too predictable.
I found my copy @ Dollar Tree. One buck and out the door. Because I paid next to nothing for this film... I can say I really liked it!
This is just one more instance of where I disagree with that guy Leonard Maltin. He rated this film "BOMB". While this film isn't great... It's NO bomb.

Trust me,

My, you're nosey, aren't you?
