Movie connections (SPOILER)

There aren't very many posts for this movie, but so far no one has mentioned that this is the second time Patrick Swayze played a ghost - the other time being five years earlier in the movie "Ghost". I wonder if that is where the idea came from to use him in this one.

You might argue that he is not a ghost, but an angel, and that is certainly plausible. Along those lines, there is a striking similarity to "It's a Wonderful Life". In that classic movie, Clarence jumps in the river so he can be rescued by George, who was about to commit suicide. In "Three Wishes", Jack apparently puts himself in the path of Jeanne's car so she will hit him, which is the only way she would have permitted a strange man to stay in her house.
