buckwheats

Why was Easy Wind (the one black member)the only one who got buckwheat? Everybody else just got shot.

reply

Seems to me that William Forsythe (the tattooed guy) got mutilated with a blade. Treat Williams (Critical Bill) was on his way to the same fate.

Didn't Christopher Lloyd get shot in the gut? I hear that's a *really* painful way to go.

And with Andy Garcia (Jimmy the Saint), you never see him get shot. Did they blow off both his legs? That would suck...

I agree, though, that they could've been more creative with the buckwheats deaths.

He wasn't "shot in the gut".
He was killed instantly.

What movie were you watching? This one wasn't Reservoir Dogs.

reply

you got to listen to what your old geezer says in the cafe. Getting shot in the ass is only a 'typical' buckwheats hit. Buckwheats is just a really slow and painful way to get whacked. The exceptions being christopher lloyds 'Pieces' who is for some reason taken pity on and get shot in the heart so he's dead before he hits the floor, and Critical Bill who gets taken out as Buscemi's last stand (but what a *beep* last stand!)

Hope that helps in some way

reply

Atwater, take it out!

reply

Yes, Pieces gets a break because he make no attempt to run and hide.
He waits for his fate.
Mr. Shhhh respects this, so he kills him quickly.

reply

Yeah the black guy gets it in the ass but the others
-1 cut up like a roast
-1 hit with 3 shot guns
-1 is going to get the knife bad but gets it anyway

and Lloyd why is he taken pitty on? I would say because he stands up and takes it. The hit man does not see that offten so he fufills his wish of "do it quickly"

thanks all
Booch

reply

Must be it. He takes it like a man, although he is old, tired and sick. He shows true courage and no fear. That is probably why Shhhsh takes pity. Remember, all the other three where in hiding, like pussies.

am i the only one who remembers Lloyd is a leper

1 Leprosy is as painful as any buckwheats imo
2 buscemi doesn't want to go anywhere near him

reply

How many bad guys do we see in movies that could win but don't because they prefer to gloat over their victory? Critical Bill was an example of the idea immortalized by a villain in Die Hard - "If you're going to kill someone, don't hesitate!" As much as I enjoyed his "I am Godzilla! You are Japan!" speech, it's what got him killed; he should have just blasted Shush to hell and kept his mouth shut.

"Uh, listen Jet. You said bell peppers and beef. Well, there's no beef in here. So you wouldn't really call it 'bell peppers and beef,' now would you?" - Spike Spiegel

reply

I thought it was worth him dying just to hear those lines.

reply

Yeah, it led to my favorite line/delivery of the movie:

"Your reputation far exceeds your skill, mammyrammer."

Priceless.
