This film was a roadblock in Naomi Watts career. Watts spoke of thinking this might be her big break, and after the film bombed she went right back to huge cattle casting calls. It would take another 6 years before she was given a life line with Mulholland Drive.

A few days ago, Rachel walked over to her and said “You’re going to have to act in this scene” then walked away. Naomi responded with an “Oh well, O.K.” sort of expression.
