Zane's character is actually pretty Biblically accurate.

Disguises himself as a "handsome gentlemen" and tricks them with their own vices?
That could be Satan or a demon.

Who said anything about your bible or anything being "Biblically accurate"?

Collector was a demon from hell that is were those bible refrences come from in this movie

Rob Zombie is one of the greatest movie directors today

Let me help you. The movie is about demons and humans and the battle between good and evil, dark and light. And if you don't like any of that then you are in the wrong place. Picks up my Bible and walks off from foolish non believers. You did NOT create yourself.

Except that, you know, satan is a fallen angel and not "beasts in the darkness before god created light", so no, Zane does not fit your biblical devil/demon cannonation.

You know there is the traditional train of dialogue that there were beasts that existed in the void before God finished his 'so called and not in our time' seven days. There is also the massive idea that the angels were really jealous of the humans and that is why there were battles in heaven. There is a lot of speculation about what happened because we were not there. However, your last statement makes it seem like you don't believe at all. So you really should stop having discussions about the Bible. Because there are books missing from the Bible courtesy of the church and information that we can never know. However, the discussion was about a movie. Try to stay on topic ok.

In which case Zane would be one of these beasts and not the Devil (Lucifer). There are thousands of manuscripts that didnt make it to the bible, many of them contradicting eachother. this is udnerstandable, as they were written by humans, often from tales passed down for hundreds of years.

My personal belief system has nothing to do with whether or not i can talk about the movie and you are the one who went offtopic with attacking my beliefs instead of the argument i made.

If I were "The Devil", I would impregnate a woman with my essence and convince people that I am G-d. That way anyone who worships me is breaking one of the Big Ten and sentenced to Hell.

Though using this film as a excuse to argue religious believes is stupid as hell, wasn't it in the film the demons inhabited the earth and when God created light, he scared them off? Was that in the Bible? It doesn't sound like any Satan origin I'm aware of.

Well if Billy Zane's character was Satan, I am not sure why Christians are so afraid of the Satan then. He got owned pretty easy by teenage Jada Pinkett Smith. Worst Satan ever.

You are both right that that is not in this Bible. This film does take some liberties with biblical facts, no doubt, as you've pointed out there.

However, what the OP said is also correct. The Collector generally behaves in exactly the same way as does satan. And that is obviously deliberate because he is one of satan's minions.

If anything, these Collectors could be arch demons of some kind.

Yup, exactly. They are like Generals in satan's army, but they aren't satan himself.

biblical facts
Ha! Good one!

The Collector isn't Satan himself. In fact, after he got beaten by Jada, another Collector like him came to take his place at the end of the movie, meaning there's more than one. If anything, these Collectors could be arch demons of some kind.
